We got carried away with our first 2 posts and didn't take the time to welcome you or explain who we are so.....

Welcome to our blog. Here we hope to keep you updated with what goes on in our world as well as offering tips, discounts and the best deals in our eBay store.

But, what is a Trading Assistant?

We appreciate that not everyone will understand or have any knowledge of eBay Trading Assistants, the same as we understand (and hope you will too) why people use our service. In a nutshell, an eBay Trading Assistant sells for others on eBay for a fee. As well as individuals, or consumers, we also sell for businesses and feel our fees are the lowest in the land. We will just say though, selling your items your self these days can incur fees (eBay & PayPal) including posting & packaging costs of up to 22%. Why should I follow your blog?

We know there are so many blogs out there claiming to know how to sell on eBay and how they have the secrets, but we really know what it takes to be successful selling online. We have a number of quality assets including experience, qualifications and patience and, let’s face it, you need a lot of patience to sell on eBay in today’s world. We hope to give you an insight into what we do, as well as hoping to help you sell (and buy) better on eBay. Of course we hope you will use our service to sell your items, but if not, we hope you will find what we have to share useful.

Unpaid Items on eBay

Common? Sure. Frustrating? Definitely.
It still remains a mystery to most sellers as to why buyers "buy" their items on eBay and then refuse to communicate or pay.
There seem to be 4 types of buyer on eBay; eBayers, moaners, non-payers and time wasters:
eBayers
These are obviously the buyers that pay immediately (or near enough), cause no problems and leave good feedback. If they do have a problem, they are willing to give the seller a chance to resolve it and, most of the time, will still leave good feedback for the excellent customer service they received.
Moaners
These buyers pay for the item, wait to receive it and then have an over whelming urge to leave negative feedback (without even communicating). It seems to be an unhealthy obsession with these buyers and you will often see a pattern in their feedback left for others on eBay.
Non-Payers
Although very similar to time wasters, these buyers do not seem to have a poor record of not paying or any non paying buyer strikes on their account. These are the buyers that need to communicate more. We can only talk from experience or opinion, but communicating to tell the seller you've changed your mind or just don't have the money at the moment is so much better than staying silent and waiting for the seller to open an unpaid item case.
Time Wasters
All sellers have had at least one of these buyers. The type that bid, outbid real buyers and then just don't pay. They have numerous feedbacks detailing this fact and, eventually, their account is suspended or deleted by eBay. This type of buyer is the biggest mystery of all. What are they actually gaining?

Of course, being a good seller (with good, understandable policies) always helps your cause and, much like social networking, communicating with your buyers is always a good idea (although eBay are doing their best to remove this option!). Having excellent customer service in place whether you are a sole trader, a small partnership or a big corporation is always a good plan as this is what customers remember most (as well as good packaging!). However, this will not eliminate the "bad eggs" and I think all sellers have to come to terms with this fact, whether they like it or not. The thing that makes a difference is how you deal with these buyers and how you let it affect your company and sales in particular.
